The Price is Right!!

Last Monday we went to the Price is Right! Unfortunately I did not come home with a brand new car like I was planning, but we still had a lot of fun. We made matching shirts that said "Drew make our dreams come true" and had a group of 20 excited people. A member of our group did get called down though (Justin's girlfriend Rachael) and actually made it up on the show. She almost won a new hot tub but the game was a tough one. Luckily she walked away with something... two new digital cameras. I have to admit I was a little disappointed me or Tyler didn't get on but if you would have seen me in the interview process you could definitely see why I didn't! For those who haven't done it, they have a group interview process to see who is fun, outgoing, or crazy enough to be a contestant. I was so nervous I acted like an idiot and probably didn't seem like any of those things.
The best part of the whole thing was that we had the best seats in the house. We were right in the center a few rows up higher up than everyone so we could see really good. And right before they started they had music playing really loud and everyone had a dance party. So by the time we started we were all sweating bullets and ready to be on camera. We aren't sure yet when our episode will be shown, but it won't be until next season. I will try to find out and post it on here, but if your are randomly watching and see me and Tyler sweatin it up on there, give me a call!!

Also on Saturday night we went to Patton Oswald doing stand up comedy. He is the guy who plays the mouse's voice in Ratatouille, but we know him as Spence from King of Queens which is one of our favorite shows to watch. It was at this Improv place right here in Irvine and it was really fun to go to and something new.

He is funnier on the King of Queens but we still had a lot of fun!

office party!

For an office incentive, Tyler and Matt threw a bunch of coins in the pool (silver dollars and quarters) and the guys got to dive in for the coins, depending on how many sales they got on Saturday and the order they got them in. Matt was nice enough to get Subways for everyone as a little birthday celebration for me as well so it made it extra fun. This is the whole group before they jumped in for the coins. The guys were all so excited you'd think there had been a million dollars in the pool. They even had goggles and took it all serious. Tyler had been practicing holding his breath forever (which he can do!)
Its hard to tell but the person in the water is Tyler about to take one of his big dives. He's getting all prepared with his goggles and concentration....It ended up being pretty evenly spread out although Tyler did come out on top. It was really fun and afterwards the guys got a little crazy playing 500 in the pool and beating each other up.

a NEW camera!! yahoo!

I got a new camera!!! I am so excited that I have been going a little camera crazy. Tyler gave it to me on Sunday because we kind of celebrated my birthday on Sunday because Tuesday Tyler had to work. These are some of the first pictures I took...

The camera is so cool because you can pick a color that it will highlight only. I tried to do it with his shirt but it was too light I think. Its pretty cool though- although I may be getting in on this technology a little late, I love it!
Sunday after church we went to the beach and played around, then we had a bbq with some of our friends out here. We love bbq's! Tyler made us steaks and it was soo good!
It was a fun day! Sundays are my favorite out here because it means we get to RELAX!

the FOURTH and the weekend...

For the fourth of July weekend our friends Morgan and Britton came out to visit from Logan. We love them! It was so much fun and we were sad to see them leave.

On the fourth we went to the beach alll day long. Newport Beach was packed and crazy with people, but we managed to find a parking spot miles away and Tyler long boarded back forth to it for us. He sure does come in handy! We had a big group with us and it was perfect weather for some beach volleyball and playing in the waves.

Tyler and Britton also rented boogie boards and were surfing on them all day. Some reason it cut tylers chest up pretty bad and he still has little scars! I was glad not to be a part of it since my last boogie boarding experience (on our honeymoon) I almost died! If our kids get any sports/coordination talents at all it will definitely be from him.

That evening we went to the fireworks show in Downtown Disneyland. The fireworks were good but they shut them off early because of the wind. It was still fun to be able to walk around downtown disneyland though and then we went to eat at my favorite restaurant, The Cheesecake Factory. I had alot and fun and we were completely worn out by the end of the night. I love the fourth!
