Sleepless in Salt Lake

I have decided I have sleeping A.d.d. Some reason most nights when we get into bed my heart starts racing and then I panic because I think I am not going to be able to sleep. It creates a real problem. To help ease the anxiety a little bit I end up talking Tylers ear off for a long time. It is pretty funny when he finally says "hey not too be rude or anything but... I am falling asleep." I dont know whats worse though hearing that or when some snoring starts up mid conversation!

Does anyone have any solutions ? I have taken sleeping pills a couple times but then I dont want to get hooked so I stop.

By the way I reallly enjoyed everyones comments on the Bachelor! It was so fun to hear all the opinions. Looks like pretty much everyone is on the MElissa bandwagon but well have to tune in to see.

Livin through the tube

As sad as it is I will admit that at times I live vicariously through the tv. Mondays are the worst days at work and thinking about all the shows I get to come home to on the DVR is what gets me through the days! I love the Bachelor this season so much! I hope all of you are watching. Even though Tyler wont admit it I know he enjoys it as well.. though not as much as me. I want to know who everyone thinks he will pick..?

Happy Heart day

When we finally woke up on Valentines it was to a knock on the door with a flower delivery for these cute flowers. Tyler did a really good job this time compared to the cactus he accidentally got me before :) They are really pretty and im loving how they smell up our apartment! Our Valentines morning consisted of cleaning out apartment and cleaning out our cars. I cant say that was Tylers favorite part of the day but we were glad when it was all done! I feel like during the weeks we are so busy and dont get much down on the aparment and it was nice to get so much help.



Tyler made us early dinner reservations at BeniHanas. We really wanted to go somewhere we'd never been and it was really cool to go where the cook all the food in front of you. We didnt realize we would be sharing a table with a family with four little kids though... haha. I guess it made it fun though to see how excited the kids got. The food there is so good we were completely sick we were so full when we left.


My favorite part of the day was just coming home and hanging out all night with my bestest friend. I love my little buddy.

Boarding USA

We finally got to go boarding (yes we only made it ONCE this whole year) but it was so much fun! We went up to the Canyons using this really good couples deal they had going on. We live so close to all the resorts now we really need to start taking advantage of it more often! We went with Ashley and Shawn, Nikki and Tony, and then my dad and Tonys brother were a couple for the day.


We all look like nerds in the pictures- it is prett obvious we arent hard core boarders! I was proud of the girls though, we kept up pretty good!


My dad is the only one that skiied. I was a little worried he wouldnt be able to keep up but he was the one waiting on all of us!

Here is the guys table at lunch. We could not find one table inside to eat lunch at so we had to sit outside in the snow to eat. They look so cute though dont they :)

We made it to the top top of the mountains. It was a pretty cool view so we had to get a pic. It was a perfect day and it made us wish we could go more often!

Tylers Birthday week!

Tylers birthday was Wednesday but it was like we celebrated it three times! We missed out on going to Colorado for Thanksgiving and we really wanted to go so we took work off on Friday and left Thursday night to go for the weekend. It was so nice to get away and even better the weather was so perfect!


We got to ride bikes and play outside at the park and have a steak bbq (which is Tylers favorite!) His mom and Mike spoiled him by making him all his favorite meals and taking us to Buffalo Wild Wings which is one of his favorites too. His best friend from high school, Tyler Albert, came and hung out with us pretty much the whole time too. AFter going there we were definitely wishing for better weather when we got back but no such luck! Anyone thats here knows how depressing and FOGGY this place has been!!

On Wednesday night we went to RUby River Steakhouse (which is SOO good!) and I made Tyler this birthday cake (i will admit I was pretty proud of). The cake was so good but there are only two of us eating it and we are both getting so sick from it! I decided maybe we will take it to our primary class tomorrow because otherwise it will last for the whole month! It was kinda wierd doing the cake thing and singing happy birthday by myself. haha. We need some kids to keep us company or something!





This cute pic is Tyler with pretty much all of his new stuff on. I got him alot of clothes he can wear to work because he can always use more. The outfit doesnt not all match together (as much as Tyler insists) but the things individually were very cute. My personal favorite was the vest.

I havent had much time to post alot on here but I did miss our Anniversary posting. Our two year Anniversary was December 29th as well. We had so much fun and I keep realizing more and more how lucky I am to have found and married Tyler. He is the best! I love every chance I get to see him and spend time with him. Happy birthday buddy!

Christmas in Idi ho

We had a very snowy Christmas in Idaho this year. It snowed the entire time we were there! Christmas Eve afternoon me and Tyler drove up to Rexburg right before the storm hit. I was excited to see my moms new house all finished and it looked really cute! We had a great Christmas and were sad to leave. We played alot of cards, hide and go seek (in the dark of course), board games, and Mario Kart on the Wii.

Here we are lined up on Christmas morning to see what santa had brought. Tyler looks like a giant compared to all of us midgets. I love the pictures of him with all of us girls. They are all big fans of Tyler and he just seems like one of us now!

My mom gave us matching sweats from Victorias Secret. They are so soft and warm! They were one of our favorite presents.

I love Christmas and am really sad that its over. At work on Friday they were talking about how our next vacation isnt until May!! How is that possible!? Someone needs to make up more vacations!

Tis the Season

We decorated our little apartment for Christmas and I think it finally has the holiday spirit. This is the first time we actually are going to be here for so much of the holidays because of work and everything so I tried to make it feel a little more like home.


Tyler has all these little snowman ornaments from when he was growing up so we made this his little tree for all of those. It is pretty cute, but a little bit squished.

I know everyone is leaving and going places for the break so we just wanted to say Merry Christmas! I hope everyone gets everything they ever wanted for Christmas and that santa finds you all...
