El Paso!

Last week my mom, Ashley, and I got to take a trip to El Paso to go see my long lost brother and his two little kids. We hadnt seen Josh or Olivia in over a year and a half, and I had never even met little Henry! They are the cutest kids. Its wierd how much I love them for only having met them a few times!

We would take at least 3 pictures to get one where the kids were looking at the camera or to get us to look at the camera. This is one of the best we could get..

One afternoon Josh took us to Fort Bliss where he was working while Monica babysat for us. It was so fun to be with us three again, it had been way too long! Josh is only 18 months older than me and Ash is 14 months younger so we were all really close growing up! We got to see all the places Josh has worked and lived in the last 3 years. He is moving to Austin to a different base in two weeks because he is leaving for Afghanistan in March.

This is Henry. He loves food! Whenever food was around he'd have as much as possible stuffed in his hands and even more stuffed in his mouth. When we first got there he was crying alot and would only go to Josh but by the end of the first night he warmed up to all of us. It made me so excited for my little baby!

Josh bought Henry and Olivia these little outfits for Olivias birthday party. It was princess themed because she loves princesses. They both looked sooo cute. There was a giant princess pinata that they bought for the kids to hit but at first Olivia didnt like the idea of bashing in her lifesize princess. It was pretty funny when it actually started happening we thought she would start bawling but she actually was okay with it until a little boy at the party put the princess face on like a mask and ran around the house with it.

Olivia is the typical girly girl. She is so prissy and proper. Anytime you talk to her she talks in a whisper but she is so sweet! She loved grandma and for the first day thought I was grandma for some reason. We didnt know if it was because of my white hair or I was the first person she saw off the plane but by then end she realized who her grandma really was!

It was a really good trip but it made me miss them even more!

26 weeks!

So I went to my 26 week Drs Appointment yesterday and was feeling good on the way in... Apparently I was not being careful what I was doing and I tripped on something and fell flat on the ground! Luckily my purse was kind of between my belly and the cement but it still scared me soo bad! I was so worried something would have happened to the baby but the Doctor told me everything is still going really good so all is well. I am so excited because I finally ordered the baby's bedding and its supposed to get here tomorrow so we are going to get the nursery started.

I'm going to have to alot to blog about soon because tomorrow is Tyler's birthday and then this weekend I am going with my mom and sister to El Paso to visit my brother Josh and see my neice and nephew. I cant wait to see them!

One of the many reasons I love Tyler

One afternoon over Christmas break we had a day outside in the snow. We all had to basically find whatever we could around the house so I was actually surprised we all had enough snow clothes (some of the outfits were really interesting!) Anyway, Susan was trying to get a picture of us all jumping in the air at the same time and as you can see we had some difficulties with timing. Apparently Tyler thought we were supposed to be doing something way different… I’m scared to see what kind of things our little girl is going to do with parents like us!

Bump it!

So last night I decided to finally give in and take a picture of my little bump. It was seeming a little large and in charge. I still havent felt the baby kick but at night when I am laying there me and Tyler can feel where she's at. She is a little wanderer. I love to picture her just rollypollying around. Sometimes she'll be on the right side and we will start feeling her and then she will move to the left side. It is wierd how much we already love her!

Thanksgiving!

I am so glad the holidays are here! We got to take a break from work and go to Rexburg for Thanksgiving to see my family. We are so blessed and have so much to be thankful for! We crammed the weekend with lots of fun stuff. We went shopping on Black Friday, had lots of food and treats, and went to a movie, had family pictures, and played games. My mom had decorated for Christmas already and her house looked so cute. I love going home!

Abby also got a new dog, Bentley. Yes, they are once again attempting to have a dog. Although we have been called the "Pet Cemetary" for years now, this dog does live inside (which is a first!) and I think will live a little longer than the pets in the past. And he is SOOO cute. And thats coming from me who is not a huge animal lover. As much as animal droppings and hair gross me out, I love seeing Tylers face when he sees a dog. In a way its like he sees me but in dog form. He loves them so much that I may have to give in..

It was quite an ordeal but Tyler and Shawn did finally get up the icicle lights! It only took almost all day and night on Saturday night but they sure did a good job. They also got brownie points for standing in line at WalMart at 4 am for us in Rexburg while we hit the shops in Idaho Falls. They got everything on their list! I have the best husband. It is so nice having Shawn around so Tyler doesnt go girl crazy.

Friday night we went out to Olive Garden and the movie The Blind Side with Sandra Bullock. It was a good movie for anyone who hasnt seen it!
We also got some cute family pics that I will have to post when we get them.
I think my sisters were a little dispointed in my little belly but they are so excited and will be the best aunts. Abby had been texting me for days.. I cant wait to see your belly! Unfortunately it wasnt too big yet but it seems to be growing about an inch every day now it feels like. People are actually starting to notice it poking out so im hoping to be getting out of the awkward just looking like a chubby belly stage. I cant believe tomorrow I will be on week 20! It is going by pretty fast. I cant believe I'm half way there. The other day Susan (Tylers Mom) actually sent us our first little girl outfit!! It was so wierd it just hit us, wow we are actually having a little girl. It is the cutest tiniest outfit. Thanks Susan!

I need to jump back a few weeks and put a few pics from our trip to Colorado. Eric and Hannah were in the Wizard of Oz play so we drove down to see it. It was so good! I was impressed with how good they both were. Eric was the cowardly lion and Hannah was a singing tree and a munchkin.

We are so glad we have such good families and friends to hang out with! I am also sooo grateful for my cute husband. We really are best friends and everyday I love him more and more.

We are going to be packing up this weekend and the plan is to be moving on Tuesday! I am so excited and will post some pictures once we get settled in. Hopefully we will be able to get internet soon!

Mav's a GIRL!

After weeks and weeks of thinking we were going to have a little Mav boy we found out we are having a GIRL! When we found out I was way surprised but REALLY excited! Actually when we first got to our appointment that we were looking so forward to, our doctor rushed in and said he got called on a delivery and had to run so we would have to reschedule for two weeks! I dont think he realized how much I had set my mind on knowing right then what it was. We sadly walked out to the parking lot where I of course started the water works (I blame it on the pregancy!) Tyler was trying to tell me it was okay and calm me down when the Doctors assistant ran out and told us they could actually do it after all because the baby was already delivered. I was pretty embarassed he had seen how big of a baby I am but at least we got to find out! Tyler seemed really shocked and a little sad about having to rename our baby from Mav but he has gotten used to it now and cant wait to have a little girl! Now we can start buying her clothes and thinking of names and decorating a nursery. We are so blessed and cant wait to meet her!
